1. Even though the office was nice and clean, the building looks like it's a 100 years old and you're headed into the shadiest place on earth (at least those were my initial thoughts!)
2. You leave your shoes at the door... I am accustomed to doing that at people's houses, it just feels strange to go into a public office barefooted!
3. The doctor was VERY nice and spoke good English but it wasn't our warm, bubbly pediatrician that we're used to! At home, after shots our doctor gives stickers & candy... the poor doctor here was so flustered at all the screaming and crying, she started digging through her drawers looking for something-anything to stop the commotion and all she pulled out was.. Post-it notes!! It was so funny! She started handing them to the kids going, "Here, here is some colored paper. Please don't cry!"
4. When we left, she gave us her business card with her office info and then wrote her personal cell phone number on it and told us just to call her at home if there's ever any problem- You don't normally get your doctor's home phone number any more!!
