Happy Easter!

Obviously Indians don't celebrate Easter but it was such a fun way for us to have a turn to show them what we do to celebrate Christ's death & resurrection. We had a really fun weekend celebrating with all our different friends that we've made here and for most of them, this was their first chance to ever hear what Easter is really about! So thankful to get to be a part of that!

We ended the weekend by having a big Easter egg hunt for the kids in our society and sharing the story of Easter with them. It was a blast and they LOVED it! Below are some of the pictures from our fun!

Suttie found an egg!!

Trying to capture an Easter picture! Wasn't easy and ended in tears but... at least they're all 3 in the photo! :)

Bennett couldn't find any eggs, so the big kids took a few of theirs and re-hid them so he could find some! Here they are showing him where they hid the eggs for him!

Some brother-sister love!

My sweet friend, Angelie- She loves Sutton!

The kiddos from our society (apartment complex) that we play with every night! So thankful that God provided these kids for our kids to have as friends while we've been here. (doesn't Bennett look pumped to be in this picture!?) :)

One funny thing about an Indian Easter was that we didn't have any of the normal things we would use as part of our celebration (baskets, plastic eggs, etc.) We had the most jimmy-rigged Easter ever- It was pretty hilarious! You can notice in the pictures that everyone was using grocery bags & buckets for their "baskets" & we couldn't find any plastic eggs so the kids hunted real eggs that we had dyed but it's kind of a bummer to find a cracked, hard-boiled egg instead of an egg full of M&M's! So funny! For our "traditional" Easter dinner we had chicken salad instead of ham but we did have some pretty incredible deviled-eggs & one of the families made an amazing apple cake so it was a unusual yet fun Easter meal!
